Baseball League of America

January 1, 1915.

The baseball league of america is formed. Consisting of 16 teams in two leagues (American and National) It is hoped to solve the pressing issue of getting baseball into a organized sport.

The Teams starting out are

American League

East - this consists of 4 teams in the North East.

Providence Whalers
New York Titans
Boston Codmen
Philadelphia Americans

West - this consists of 4 teams connected by the great lakes

Detroit Grays
Buffalo Iroquois
Milwaukee Hops
Chicago Railbirds

The National League

East - these teams are all mid-Atlantic cities

Baltimore Commodores
Charlotte Copperheads
Hampton Roads Colonials
Brooklyn Jackrabbits

West - these teams are all connected by the Ohio and Mississippi rivers

Cincinnati Rivermen
Cleveland Green Socks
St. Louis Riverboats
Pittsburgh Irondogs

(Note, Hampton Roads plays in Newport News)

The Changing league is on,I may take over GM duties say, 20 seasons in, or I just might let it sim. The league can alter itself over time.

Hopefully, this will not be completely boring to others. And I remember to post the results!

Two seasons in a row losing in the World Series for the Detroit Grays. They are the Los Angeles Dodgers of the Baseball League of America.
Hope for better luck in 1918!

Or, in other words,
Go Grays!

Shoot!
Well, still, 3 appearances in a row in the World Series is impressive in itself.

It really is, they have a really good pitching staff that really can make them win series. They missed the playoffs by 1 game in 1919 now that I know I have a gray fan

John Wilson of BAL had a perfect game on 9-23-1919 (apparently the Gou-Xiu Miao game in 1917 wasn't perfect, even if it was a no hitter with 0 BB

Eddie Reyes (CIN) has the first notable hitting streak of 35 games
