Is the league just sad or happy I'm going?
Hi, I was playing the Get-Ligean League. My contract ran out on June 30, 2021 (not fired), but unemployed. My whole team lost a star off of actual and potential ability. And in checking the other teams it appears the whole league did. In checking actual numbers like checking, fighting or speed they seem to be the correct numbers. Anybody know what gives?

My guess is it's by design. As soon as I took a job in the WHL those stars adjusted about one star up on all the players.

The stars are relative to the league you're currently employed in. If you're unemployed, they default to an NHL-level view. So when you left Norway, you started evaluating them according to NHL standards, and when you went to the WHL, you then were looking at them according to WHL standards.
