iOOTP 14 v1.1 Available or not?
I see that iOOTP v1.1 is listed as the current version in the Apple store. However, as an owner of v1,0, my updates section in the Apple store does not list V1.1 as being available. Moreover, in the store itself, there is only an option to open the current v1.0, and none to download the new upgrade. Anyone else run into this issue?

I did, but if you find the app itself, look at the button that you would press to buy it, and it should say update

Mine updated on 6/20 to v1.1 with no issues. I have had similar issues with other apps though. Have you restarted your iPhone/iPad?

I buy this game because it is easier to carry around my ipad than my laptop. I do not think I will purchase the iootp game next year if it is available. I like the computer game much more. The support for the computer ootp is far superior to iootp.

It's strange: yesterday I was in the App Store on my phone and saw that there was an update available for iOOTP 14. I wasn't home at the time, so I didn't go through with it.
A few hours later, after being back on Wi-Fi, I checked again and the update had completely disappeared from the list. I thought that maybe it was just my phone messing up, but I guess not... EDIT: The update just reappeared for me in the App Store (at 10:45pm EDT) Last edited by SodyPop; 06-22-2014 at 10:48 PM. |

A few suggestions for those who've found the update isn't showing up:
•*Try checking the list of available updates in the App Store app on your device. •*Try checking your iTunes software on your computer to see if it's there. •*Try restarting your device. •*See if you have automatic updating turned on. I have it turned on on my iPad, and I noticed the new icon just showed up, so the game updated on its own. A few people have commented about this on Facebook too and I've been helping them, so feel free to post any additional comments here (I have subscribed to this thread), or send me a PM and I'll try to help you. It sounds like this is a problem with Apple, though, not us, since we're not the ones who make the update available to users -- Apple does that. So, in the end, this would be a support issue for Apple, not us, since all we can do is submit the update to them. Thanks. |

I had a tough time getting the update on my iPad and iPhone. It didn't show up as a regular update on either device until I turned them off and back on - then it showed up in the update list. Very strange.

There was an apparent lag getting the update to the device. I had automatic updates enabled on my iPad 2. Version 1.1.0 was announced June 20 on the App Store. The game did update automatically on today's date, June 23.

Unfortunately, it sounds like there was some kind of glitch with Apple, which was beyond our control. Sorry about that, folks, but it sounds like it's starting to show up for people, so I would recommend trying the things I mentioned to see if you can force your device to see the update. Thanks.
