Out of position
If I put a player in a different position, over time will he eventually learn that position?
I'm still very new to this game and I only played the iootp version. Is there anyway to train players at new positions? |

You can't specify that you want to train a player for a new position, but if you keep playing him at a certain position, yes, he will eventually learn it. If he's starting with no rating at that position, though, be prepared for a higher-than-normal rate of errors until he gets a rating.

Out of position
It's wise to train good middle infielders at corner infield positions, and good Centerfielders at corner outfield positions... Give them a place to play as they lose range as they age. They learn the corner positions fast.

You have to look at there individual stats for each position player (arm strength, range, turn double play etc.). If they have high stats in those specific categories, they should be able to learn the position you want them to (if you play them there).
