schedule questions

I am new to OOTP. I hope I am in the correct forum and that my question isn't totally stupid.

I am taking the old NL and AL 8 team leagues and breaking each into 2 divisions of 4 teams. I need a schedule for 150 games in which there will be no interleague play.

A team will play each team in its division 26 times (3x26=78) and each team in the league's other division 18 times (3x18=72) for a total of 150 games (78+72=150).

I looked through the schedules on this forum but couldn't find one that matched. I downloaded the schedule generator on one of the threads on this forum, but couldn't figure out how to open it or get it to work.

Does any one know where I could find a schedule matching the one outlined above?

I was also considering going into the schedule function from the league function screen, clearing the schedule that was there, then manually entering the schedule that I want. If I do that, is there a way to then save the manually entered schedule so that I could use it again in subsequent seasons?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Scheduling 3 game series on your 150 game request requires you play one divisional team 3 games less than the other two.

To even that out, I also made a 153 game schedule. It gives an unbalanced schedule of 75H/78A or vice versa.

I guess you can pick your poison.

schedule questions

I made a mistake in my prior post. In 2 4 team divisions, the schedule would be a team plays each team in its own division 26 times (3x26=58) and each team in the other division 18 times (4x18=72) for a total of 50 games (78+72=150). Each series would not have to be 3 games in length).

Your math was right in the original post, you just had 3 teams instead of 4 listed. I use the schedule generator and I can't alternate series length. I've posted two schedules for you above.
