Question About League Reputation
I've been playing OOTP for years, but never bothered with the league rep feature before. So what I'm wondering is: does it matter how much of a difference exists between 2 leagues, or only that there is a difference? For example, a guy gets an offer from a team in League A, and then a slightly better one from a team in League B. Will he consider the second one as seriously if League B has a rep of 5 as he would if it had a rep of 9 (assuming League A is 10), or is it more of a black and white thing where the values themselves have no value beyond one being greater than the other?

Well, I was looking for the answer to this question and this is the most relevant thread I could find about it.
I noticed that in the MLB season I started, MLB is 10, *** is 9, Cuba is 8, and LMB is 7. I started a kitchen sink league, and those ratings were the same, with others interspersed around (Taiwan is 7 too, Australia/Netherlands/Italy are 6, then the indy leagues are below (Atlantic League 5, Can-Am 4, Pecos 3, and the Japanese indies 2). I'm guessing that if you only have, say, 3 leagues to rank differently, it doesn't matter much what the relative differences are, just that they are ranked. So if you changed the numbers in the first example to be 10/6/2, there would be no important difference to the functions. Is that the case, or do the numbers matter in any way other than as purely hierarchical ranking of leagues present in a world? |
