Adding Teams and Drafting DB Players
I've been messing around trying to get through the 19th Century using the Lahman/Arod DB, and it seems like two features of the game combine to make it difficult/impossible:
1 - You can't edit the league structure until the Preseason 2 - The DB import always brings NEXT YEAR'S rookies into the game These two factors in combination mean that you can't add a team to a league, and then have it participate in an amateur draft that contains THIS year's rookies. Of course, I could just schedule the draft in March and not worry about the fact that everyone's debuting a year early. But it seems to me that you should be able to either: 1 - edit the league structure as soon as all the games are played. Then you can add teams in time for Winter Meetings and a late fall/early winter draft. or 2 - designate in the league setup that you want THIS YEAR's rookies to import instead of next year's. Of course, having BOTH would be nice, too. Does anyone have any workarounds for this issue?
