For Those with Team Logo Display Problems
I noticed that several custom team logos, including downloaded (and unmodified) ones from others' sites, were not displaying correctly in my leagues (monochrome, horizontally compressed, off-centered, etc.). After much experimentation, I discovered that the logos that were experiencing this condition were in indexed color mode exclusively (in Photoshop). After changing them to RGB mode and saving them, then restarting OOTP, they displayed correctly.
Anybody else seeing this? |

I combatted this problem by saving the offending logos as .jpg's.
I then opened the new .jpg files in Paint, and re-saved them as .png's. Worked like a charm. |

Yes, I discovered this, too. PNG's won't work unless in an RGB colorspace. Sort of makes them pointless compared to BMPs, as using indexed color would make the file size smaller.

PNGs are smaller than JPGs and have the advantange of supporting transparent backgrounds, however.

All,
Here's my workaround for the "900 Logos" display issue that will allow you to keep the logos in PNG format (although in RGB mode, not indexed color mode): http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...9&postcount=17 |

cephas,
It was with your logos that I had the problem. Some, but not all, had this issue and it was surprisingly all for the same league (the last I was putting logos in of course). Other than that, thank you for creating the logo clearing house. The game is so much better with real logos, IMHO. |

What is RGB mode? And is there any way of doing this without spending hundreds of dollars on Photoshop?
