Best way to buy FHM 5?

I’m contemplating whether to purchase Franchise Hockey Manager 5 and I’m wondering if it is better to purchase and just download the game onto my laptop as I normally would or buy it through Steam?

I wouldn't think it would make a whole lot of a difference. The only difference I can think of on top of my head is that through Steam, updates would occur automatically while you may have to download updates and apply them manually otherwise.
