I've been very scatterbrained lately...don't mind me.
Also I'm extremely angry with them right now. Me and the Patriots are not on speaking terms after their second straight divisional collapse. |

Will Be Scaling Back a Bit
It seems to me that Our League is losing a bit of steam, and seems to be on cruise control the last few weeks. With that in mind, I will be setting my own teams on cruise control as well. Frankly, it's become fairly boring. I've been putting other avocations aside, but the appeal of PT has become stagnant for me, and I'm going to return to things I find more rewarding. I will continue do the things I do enjoy, such as the crowns, and will compile the standings, however, it's most likely that I will limit myself to final standings on Saturday night/Sunday morning. I doubt if I will be checking on my teams during the week, and will probably limit myself to just opening packs with whatever points I earn during the week, if that. I have no interest in the collection side of the game, and its effect on the AH makes the time spent searching it not worth the effort.
To be honest, it is fairly doubtful that I will return to PT for the next iteration of the game. The quirkiness of the AI, the deficiencies of the player ratings, and the lack of control over player usage, as well as the spotty implementation of the Friends List, are weaknesses that I don't think will be much improved. The inability to upload graphics is something I don't think they can do at all. I'm sure I will continue to follow the thread, as I do enjoy the people I've met through Our League. The attached thank you was something I cobbled together from whatever logos I had on hand. I apologize if I missed your team. For the most part, they're in chronological order from when the team joined OL. I have to run out, but I will check later to see if there are any gold or perfect results posted for the crowns and wrap up. Last edited by Stanley Kuppchaser; 10-27-2019 at 09:40 AM. |

Out for the Day
As I said, I will check back in later, but I wanted to post this before going. At least four teams will be headed to perfect, since the rest of the playoff games are all OL. Good luck to all (except "not ready for perfect" Port Ruppert).

oh, No! Stanley, we need you!
So that's too bad, Stanley. I love all the graphics you post, and I know you have put a lot of time into OL and the game.
Hopefully, you will feel reinvigorated, but, regardless, you have been an incredible inspiration for me, and others as well, I am sure.

So sorry to lose you Stanley! I know how that goes though, especially at this point in the cycle too. Thank you for all your work.

S292 Update...
- Northeast Corridor and O'Fallon are promoted after winning their respective divisional rounds. - Daytona Beach is in a game 5. - Stephensville lost in the wildcard and will remain in silver. Also, Nico-Nico will be promoted to diamond after winning their divisional round. Last edited by Magus978; 10-27-2019 at 01:23 PM. |

Thank you for all your hard work in putting this together Stanley. You have a clever sense of humor. I had a lot of fun in OL!

My thanks to you and all the others for your kind words. I'm going to hang in with OL in 2.0 until interest runs outs, at which point I'll post the Founders Cup. I'll continue to do standings for the leagues I'm in, but it will just be the final standings for the week. I'll also post the end of season graphics. Basically, I'll just confine my "managing" to a couple of hours on Saturday and Sunday morning, and then a check-in Sunday evening to up date my friends list. Speaking of which, I just updated the master list with what I know as follows: Port Ruppert (damn it!), Roncalli, Waffletown, and Clyde to perfect. Mudville, Cooper, Kaneohe, and Nico-Nico to diamond. New Zealand, and, perhaps, Frankenthal to silver. The Retros are tied with someone else for relegation, but I don't know how PT handles that. That's all I know. Please update your list. Also need OL standings for G357. |

Friends list updated with O'Fallon and Northeast Corridor. By the way, I will post the final standings next week for perfect and diamond. Others are welcome to the task if they beat me to it. |

The Wrap Up
I have to go out, so I'll post this now and will update if and when the G357 standings show up. Good luck to all in the playoffs.

Here we go. G357 final standings.
PROMOTIONS Cooper & Mudville to Diamond RELEGATIONS New Zealand and CliffMarkle to Silver To clarify Stanley's comments earlier, Frankenthal went 82-80 and are safe. CliffMarkle are tied with another German club, but as of this moment CliffMarkle are shown in the relegation spot. Also, to complete the S292 results, Daytona Beach lost their game 5 and are thus not promoted. Last edited by Magus978; 10-27-2019 at 05:16 PM. |

Thanks Stanley! I haven't been too involved in OL other than providing a team to play but you've done a ton of work and just wanted to say it was appreceated.

To be honest guys, my interest has flagged a bit in the past two to three weeks too. That should be no surprise to anyone. However - it's been a ton of fun, and I think it's kept me way more involved in OOTP than I would have been. But the fact is, my teams have mostly reached the point where I feel they're "done" and with no real upgrades to shoot for all I can do is watch them (or in the case of Annandale, all I can do is watch them lose in the 1st round of the playoffs again and again).
I've been checking in once in a while but have mostly been on autopilot too. Thanks Stanley for all the hard work you did, you added a lot to the experience! And as far as next year, though it's a way off, I suspect I'll be interested because a lot of my enjoyment comes from starting with nothing and building it up to the team you want it to be. I will still be here but before everyone drifts off, just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their involvement and participation. An idea like this only works if everyone pitches in a little! And it's been great. |
