Perfect Team Beginnign Strategy

Hi guys, I’m new to perfect team & was wondering if I could get some advice regarding the fastest way to accumulate PP & the best way to spend it.

I’ve read a couple of threads on here with posters suggesting that the Auction house is the best way to get the most bang for your buck. One of my questions is what category (ex. bronze, silver, gold) would you target with your beginning PP? I currently have around 3700.

Another question is which position would you target first to start accumulating the most PP? Are there certain achievements that are easier to target early on with certain type of players or positions?

My initial thoughts were to improve my rotation with three 1110-1250 gold SPs.

Thanks for helping out a new guy.

high end silver players go farther than cheap gold players. You are better off spending 500-1000 each on a handful of silvers than 3 low quality golds. If the gold player is worth it, the price is going to be above 2000 if it isn't a reliever. As a general guideline anyways.

Welcome, and good luck. I'd recommend when you are starting out to target specific players at the auction house. You know who you are getting, rather than taking your chances on packs. If you are just starting out I'd look for values in the silver range. You can find more value there, and fill out your rotation pretty well.

It really depends on what type of team you want to have as far as recommendations on certain players. You may find starting pitchers with high stuff will get you more in PP, or base stealers, or home run hitters.

It might be worth looking around. There have been some useful threads on starting pitchers, defense, all bronze team, favorite silver players, or F2P approach

I'm sure there are others, but just sorted by most views to find some that may be useful.

Most importantly have fun.

As someone who has only been playing a couple of weeks, I can definitely say the auction house route is the way to go. I did two teams, one where I only get cards from the auction house and the other where I only do packs. My AH team is light years ahead of the packs only team.

Use 1k PP you get at start and focus on silver and some of the better bronze cards. As you accumulate PP you can start upgrading positions of need one by one.

I'll echo what others are saying and say that Silvers will take you a long way.

Rookie Tulo and One Hit Wonder Colabello have put up 2+ war for 2 seasons in a row for me in Diamond.

It's good to have some studs, but you also need some role players.

You can get high contact guys like Ralph Garr, Bill Madlock, and Rod Carew, at bargain prices. They will rake at bronze and silver levels. And pick up Khris Davis, a 91 power guy you can get for less than 200pp. And all the Ichiro cards are also bargain.
