Best settings for an off season league?

I'd like to create a league with a small number of teams made up of MLB free agents that plays during the off season. Ideally they'd sign back to MLB after the season's over. Is this doable? What would the best basic settings be? Should I make it ML level or Winter League?

I believe this is possible. You'd create both leagues at once (MLB and this parent league) and in commissioner mode you can do what you want with those FA in MLB ie., assign them to the other league (player by player).

So you want the same player to have two teams? I cant think of how to do that without limiting all contracts to 1 year. This would get tedious though because it means that you need to redraft or resign your entire team twice a year.
