The preset names are Quebec Nordiques and Seattle Metropolitans but of course it's possible to change them.

The new schedule would have one conference without inter-conference games and the number of teams and the structure of the new conference has to match an historical NHL season. I don't think it would be a good idea to invest time to incorporate an expansion wizard with these restrictions.
The game needs a proper working schedule generator if we give the user the opportunity to change the league structure. We can't expect from the user that he assembles his own schedule to play the game.

Yeah we're all waiting patiently for the last patch with the match engine, expansion and multiplayer update. I too admitedly am getting impatient as well... Just gotta wait it will be out soon. They want it to be bug free and perfected so they're taking their time. It's probably the last patch so they want it to be as good as it can be.

We don't rush out any stuff any more so it takes as long as it takes. Should the last patch contain any bugs to the changed/added stuff, we will of course release another bugfix patch after it.

Keep in mind that we had to start some work on 2015 already and only have 1 coder at the moment for the most part so everything takes a bit longer then we would like it but thats how it is and we can't change it.

As impatient as I am for the patch, I'd rather have them take longer and get it right than rush it out and have all sorts of problems again. I'm also glad they're not giving a release date until they're sure they can meet it. Overpromising features and delivery dates was a problem with the release and it's good they're not repeating that mistake. I've been disappointed with the product so far and this patch will determine whether or not I'll consider buying 2015, so I'm glad they're taking their time to get it right.

I'm hoping the patch fixes everything and makes it a more fun to play game with the added features. For that it's going to take time, no sense rushing the update, we know what happens when they do that. I rather it gets fixed than being perfectly on schedule. FHM 2015 is another game I'll be looking forward to!

As a big hockey fan I buy all the hockey games out there. FHM 2015 is hopefully going to be a massive improvement over FHM 2014. The series is only going to get better over time.

I remember the original OOTP Baseball was also quite buggy in the old days but look where it is now! OOTP 15 is a really good solid game with virtually no bugs and extremely fun and realistic. Like their ads say it's better than MLB the Show!

Maybe one day we'll be able to say FHM 20XX is better than EA's NHL 20XX. But hey I'll be buying both games anyway, FHM for the realism of managing and EA for the action playability. I don't think EA's NHL will ever be a good GM simulation game. They also will never have such historical depth!

question... with the two new franchises getting echl teams can we change it around so that we take for example quebec and assign them to a AHL and then that NHL team goes echl...

You can manually move teams(one player at a time with player editor) from one league to another but its very time consuming and the game(at the present time) isn't best suited for editing.

League Structure needs to be turned on. Can't Edit Rosters intill July 1st.
