Error after 92 years of historical sim!
Please help me here.
I'm doing a historical simulation and I'm up to 1993. All of the sudden I notice that the league leaders in doubles are around 100, and not a single triple was hit the entire season. Not 1. I do everything I can with my league totals, which have remained very accurate to real life totals, but nothing changed. Then I noticed when I looked at all players in the league that a ton of players had Gap Power ratings between 200 and 255. How the heck did this happen?? Random, bad players are getting insane ratings. When I edit them all down (which took a while) I reset the season and simmed a month, and check and they were back up to 255 again! What is going on here? Does OOTP having trouble importing players in the 90s? I mean, this is screwing up 90 years of simming and 90 years of CatoBase. 100 doubles and 0 triples? For everyone? Help me! |

It sounds as if, for some reason, the game is assigning negative Gap Power values to the players. Since that statistic does not recognize integers, they instead swing all the way back around to the highest number allowed by the category, which is 255. I've never seen this happen in the game, but then again I've never used historical players.
