My Game keeps freezing when I try and export via FTP
Everything about my game works exept when I go to export via FTP, my game just stops responding.
I tried reinstalling things yesterday and I got the message to change to "A connection with the server can not be made." However, today its right back to the game not-responding when I try to export via FTP. And when I say, not-responding, it basically freezes up and when I do a control-alt-delete, the box says the game is not responding. I checked the FAQ section but couldn't find anything that helped my situation. I have the most current version of DirectX, too. Thanks, - Ray |

Okay, now I'm back to the message, "A connection could not be made with the server."
And now I'm back to freezing up... Could my computer's capabilities to connect to an external FTP be a problem somehow? I have McAfee installed, could it be blocking it or something. I know little about this aspect of computers. Thanks. Last edited by RaySchlee; 04-02-2005 at 07:48 PM. |

I would say either a) you have a firewall blocking the export or b) the server you are sending it to is down.
try turning McAfee (assuming that is your firewall) off and exporting again. |

I had the same thought, acted on it, and it appears thats what it was.
I uninstalled McAfee entirely and now it works. I just reinstalled McAfee virus and its still working. It was so simple, go figure. Thanks. |
