Another Problem Finishing Day

I've been merrilly playing through the same league for quite a while now, but then today something strange happened. I'm running off of 6.12, by the way, with a custom league, but it's in its 9th year and I've had no problems so far. Anyways, I got finished playing a game as usual, and then, right after it finished generating the game report, I get a popup that says something like "Error in C++ Virtual Library" and the game shuts down. I reloaded the league okay, but it's stuck on the same day it was on when it crashed. All the games have finished, and on any team page it says "no games scheduled." When I move the calendar forward, it lists all the game, but no starting pitchers and no options to play or sim. Basically what I need to do is find a way to "force" the game to move ahead to the next day and "force" completion of the current day. I tried backing up the league and reloading without success. Any help would be much appreciated.
