How Do You Setup Your Minors?

Hey, I'm in the year 2014 off the MLB quickstart. I had originally setup my minors with a cap of 30 active players on each roster except for short season A and rookie league.

This was not a problem, and I actually needed to use ghost players at a certain point because I had like 6 people in AAA.

However, in 2014, my players have been developing really fast and I actually don't have room for them on the 30-man rosters at AA and AAA. I'm afraid if I don't promote them they won't develop properly. Then again, I'm afraid if I take the roster cap off and promote them, then alot of guys might sit on the bench and not develop properly.

Just wondering how you guys treat the roster cap, ghost players, promotion, demotion, etc. in OOTP.

I respect it, use them, and let my AI manager handle those.

I suspect that you will not have the "my players have been developing really fast and I actually don't have room for them" very long or very often. So, I would not change your game for this reason. It's not realistic anyway. I would trade away the older minor leaguers for younger talent and trim things up that way.
