Extensive GM and Head Coach Leaderboards

Seeing as how you're the GM, wouldn't it be fitting to have ranking and stats for GMs to keep track of throughout the years and history of the league?

I'd love to see leaderboards with every GM to be in the league and it would be cool to have a breakdown of the GMs in the team history of the years the GM reigned. Having a seperate screen in league history for Head Coach Leaderboards would be excellent too.

I've said this before but a goal for a GM should ultimately be to be remembered, and how better then being inducted into the hall of fame as a builder.

I really hope that these things are included - it's a huge part of making a great sim in my mind.

(Funny how these head coach stats on sites are easy to find but alittle harder to locate the GM records. I've been reading the new book "Behind the Moves" all about GMs so it's got me thinking. )

All this sort of information is kept in real life, and i believe its essential in a game like this too. Building league history and chasing records, theres alot of fun to be had there, i hope you don't leave it out

Of course, there will be a GM history and GM stats in the game. In addition, each GM will get a season/career score in order to value his success and maybe we will implement GM archivements.

So not just for the user but all the other gms and coaches in the league as well? That's what i was hoping for! That's great because without it so much league history (created or real) would be lost.

So would this score be similar to ootp? Personally, i'd prefer (one day) to have the Owner telling you your "score" - being that he's happy with your performance or not and continue on with his expectations varying if he's hands on type guy or not and a big budget. But i understand adding owners might not be a first version feature - they just add an realistic and fun layer of depth, challenge and realism i hope they're considered. Imagine being George Mcphee starting up as a GM in washington and having the owner tell you that you MUST sign jagr even if you advise against it - we all know how that went and having to recover from that mistake even though it's not your own. Or if your the NJ GM and being forced by the owner to sign Ilya Kovalchuck. Or having a big trade only for it to fall through because the owner tells you 'no' - happened alot in Toronto sadly. Or even ownership wanting to jumpship because of losing money and having the owner make you get rid of big contract players and still expect the team to be half decent. That's the sort of frustration thats fun and i'd love to see it the game....one day.
