First note: this game will take nine hours, somehow

Second note: you can't blame McCullers for hitting three batters. Most of the L.A. lineup would swing at the ball if he threw it into his own dugout. The strike zone today is effectively foul pole to foul pole, and back to the foul pole.

Third note: had to restart the router, twice, so far. I will yell at people tomorrow.

Fourth note: I feel doom again...

Listen, if the batter's insist on crowding the plate the pitcher should throw a nice 2 or 4 seam fastball belt high right off the plate.

Sure it's a baserunner but either they learn or you get them out with breaking balls away.

And Joc Pederson strikes out to leave a pair.

NO!!

THE SHOCK!!

I AM STUNNED!!

What a terrible hole in the order.

The Dodgers would be closer, if they had literally a hole batting sixth. Or my 87-year old grandmother. Or a blind kid. Or a kitten. Or a Tasmanian Wolf. Who are ****ing extinct.

Still better than Rich Hill, who has nightmares about his manager coming in to steel his balls...

Roberts lost his last marble. Jansen pitches in the seventh, down 5-1?

Hah?

He's hitting .357 3 HR 5 RBI this WS thru game 5.. Thats not a hole.

I slept from 715 to 9 so I missed most of the highlights.

Well he can't let the Astros score another run, can he?
It's damage control right now, I think.
Who's gonna pitch the 9th though? Maeda?

Stop the bleeding. This is the "stopper" role of the early days of baseball before everyone feel in love with saves.

Like home runs mean anything in this series. Who hasn't hit one out? Last time I checked even ****ing Orbit had two dingers to his credit.

Pederson swings at everything, without exceptions, no matter how far off the zone. Horrible to watch. Black hole in the lineup.

Wow, I don't think anyone expected Peacock & Morton to be this dominant... though they've shown flashes of it earlier this series.

Better to be lucky than good, though. Dodgers' hits just haven't come in timely spots.

I have a hunch, the bottom 9th will be a mess. Leadoff triple by Utley, just to fudge with me. Then Hinch panics, and brings in six pitchers for five batters.

Three more outs, fellas.

This one's for Dickie Thon and J.R. Richard and Jeff Bagwell's strike-abbreviated 1994 season. For the Killer B's who always choked in the postseason and 55 years of frustration! (31 for me.)

No pressure.

Two outs left. The bad taste of Ed Wade is beginning to recede.

One out left. A certain 16-inning NLCS game 6 is a distant memory.

It hath been done.

It's just too sad that Tal's Hill couldn't be around anymore to see it.
