Pitch Around
Hey Guys,
Perhaps I'm missing something. I play PbP and it seems if I get ahead in the count I'd like my pitcher to waste a pitch or two. It seems to me when selecting pitch around I'd get the desired effect of a pitch out of the strike-zone. I am beginning to conclude the opposite as the pitch around is down the pipe quite often and seems to be hit more effectively than I would have thought. I searched the forum but didn't have any luck....Am I missing something here? Have I been making a strategic error using pitch around with an 0-2 or 1-2 count? Thanks in advance Becker |

When you use it in one-pitch mode, the pitcher definitely tries to pick spots all around the outside of the strike zone, of course affected by his control. If he doesn't have good control, that pitch that was supposed to be a few inches low might end up right down Broadway.
