Importing 2017->2020
Hi all!
Been playing OOTP17 for a while and recently purchased OOTP20. I am trying to import a league from 17->20 which I understand requires downloading demo versions of copies I don't have (in this case 18, 19). I'm running into separate problems. I'm having trouble finding the OOTP18 demo. The manual recommends going to http://www.ootpdevfiles.com/ootp/ however that site does not contain an OOTP18 demo (it does have 19). I went to https://www.ootpdevelopments.com/ootp-prior-version and did find a file called ootp18demo but when I install it I see the following. It seems like it is not the demo version. I do have the OOTP19 demo, however I do not have the import game option (see screenshot). I've looked up several videos where that option is present. Could I get some help with these issues? I was really excited for the new features added and would like to keep running my beloved league. Thanks! |

Hi all-
Was able to find an up to date demo of OOTP19 which had the import functionality. Now the only thing that remains: Does anyone know where to find a true demo of OOTP18? |

Search the forums. This problem has been addressed before. I believe an alternate link that includes all demos is provided.

I have looked quite a bit on the forums. The two links I reference above are what I have found. One doesn't contain the OOTP 18 demo, the other has the full game marked as the demo

Found it by searching for "ootp 19 demo" Look at Lucas Berger's post.

I really wish the developers would put the game conversion stuff into a separate program altogether. We could just download that to convert out older game files and we wouldn't have to go through having to download the demos of every version in between your game files and the current version. the code to convert the game files is already in the game, to me it wouldn't be that hard to put that into a separate downloadable program. Just a thought.
