Do players learn...?

On MLB15 .... Do players learn (or can they learn) different or new position if they are played at it often enough? I had a situation where I was short handed at catcher and needed to "force" a player to catch. Any suggestions?

Yes. If you go to the editor you can change the amount of games from 0-200 in multiples of 2 and their rating will increase. This number (games) increases automatically if they play the position.

See the 'Depth Chart Question' thread from April 26 for some more info about defensive players learning or losing position ratings.

I believe applicable ratings do help as well. For instance a guy with a good inf range and arm will learn SS quicker than say a catcher with no range and arm
