Table showing promotion/relegation status

So, just for kicks (I'm kind of crazy that way), I put together a table that shows, for each level, how many teams and leagues there are as well as what it will be next season:

Code:
level	leagues	#teams	gaps	teams	prom	rel	net	newteam	leagues	%now	%next
perfect	15	450	22	428	0	30	58	486	16.20
diamond	22	660	2	658	88	44	42	700	23.33	154%	144%
gold	36	1080	6	1074	144	72	36	1110	37.00	163%	159%
silver	52	1560	0	1560	208	104	60	1620	54.00	145%	146%
bronze	75	2250	18	2232	300	150	74	2306	76.87	143%	142%
iron	105	3150	16	3134	420	0	80	3214	107.13	140%	139%
	305	9150	64	9086	350 9436	314.53
Everything except one thing in the table is determined, and that is the number of teams in the entry pool that will move into iron next season --- I have guessed that number at 350, just because that makes everything line up, but it could, of course, be substantially more or less than that. At any rate, it looks like the levels are set so that there is around 50% more teams in a level than in the level above it, and the promote/relegate is set to maintain that. Note that the largest gain next season will be in the perfect level, which I think is great --- still less than 5% of teams will be in the perfect level with more than half the teams in iron or bronze. The smallest change will be in gold, unless less than 306 teams come in from the entry pool next season (in which case, it would be in iron).

Ok, table of teams/leagues per level for 2028

Ok, here is a table for the 2028 season:

Code:
level	teams	leagues	act_lg	prom	rel	net	newteams

perfect	610	20.33	21	0	42	66	676
diamond	782	26.07	27	108	54	40	822
gold	1192	39.73	40	160	80	46	1238
silver	1740	58.00	58	232	116	56	1796
bronze	2424	80.80	81	324	162	46	2470
iron	3094	103.13	104	416	0	-64	3030
	9842	328.0666667	331	190 10032
			last week	214 growth=	1.9%
Down at the bottom: "last week" shows the number of teams that were in the entry pool last week (214), with 190 as an estimate for this week. The number of teams in entry pool have dropped in a near-linear fashion every week: two weeks ago, it was 240. The consequence of this is that the number of leagues in iron is dropping every week and, as you can see, the biggest increase every week is at the perfect level.

Which is why the talent level disparity at the higher levels is so great = too many teams at the higher levels.

Which in itself is not always a bad thing.

You could argue that with more leagues available, people will have a better chance of winning a Perfect league championship.
All it takes is a little luck and you may end up in a weaker league.
