Add field to Sortable Statistics Customization
Hi Devs, sorry if this is in the wrong spot but it wasn't a bug so I posted here.
Is it possible to add a field to the Custom Views in Sortable Statistics that would allow us to track a player regardless of changes to their ratings. In order to have a unique ID, some of us had used the players name with overall rating and age. That would help resolve issues with there being multiple cards for a player. But now that the overall rating changes, tracking a player through the changes has become very difficult. If we had either the Card Type or the Card ID (from the card list spreadsheet), we would have a consistent "primary key" that could be used regardless of changes. I'm guessing that having a field like card type might be difficult because it is in PT but not OOTP, so what are your thoughts? Thanks for considering! |

Have you tried incorporating any group of fields to make a PlayerID that makes the player unique? I eventually settled on using last and first name, and the rating fields for Bunt, BFH, Steal, and Run if I recall correctly. Carl Crawford is one of the difficult players because so many of his fields are the same for his two cards. I was hoping to use fields like Bunt and BFH in the hopes that they didn't get changed in the weekly updates like other fields. So far I haven't found one that changed this week, but I haven't checked everyone.

What about name + age for a unique key? Are there any duplicates for a player with that combination?

I'm considering abandoning the idea of keeping them grouped and rather just let them be separate. The one advantage of that is that as ratings change, the statistics generated by the ratings would be matched together. But there are other reasons to want to keep them together. It creates a bigger nightmare when trying to match the ratings/stats in the game with Developers spreadsheet (there are fields that are in the developers spreadsheet that cannot be retrieved from the in game rating download options, so I've been attempting to keep the two in line). |

For all the players who can have an Overall rating change - they're all LIVE players.
So wouldn't it suffice to say "DeGrom Live" which would differentiate that DeGrom from any different one?

That is exactly why I would like to have the Card Type added into the Sortable Statistics custom fields. Then you would have DeGrom Live, Cobb Legend, Cobb Live, Cobb Record Breaker, etc.
