More editing powers
Hi,
I am in the process of making a 1979-80 database mod (facegens included), but unfortunately there's no way (as far as I know) to edit out obvious database errors, like unsigned draftee Dale Hunter being a father to Mark Howe(!). So more editing possibilities would be highly appreciated. Also, no draftee should have "popular" or even "legendary" status right from the start, nor should they have liked and disliked teams (Eric Lindros being an exception...). Those values should evolve based on their careers (like performances againts rivals, etc.). |

Btw, for a proper historical game, at the start, one has to do this tedious excercise: removal of all unrestricted free agents (by setting their club right status to "none"). Otherwise you'll be signing world-class youngsters that should come through the draft (like Jari Kurri already in 1979) or veteran players that have contracts somewhere else, mostly Europe. For the latter, I suggest inclusion of a generic club they are contracted to.

One thing I have forgotten to mention: For more historical accuracy, there shouldn't be a waiver draft available when there has been an expansion draft, like in 1979.

Yes, waiver drafts in expansion draft years didn't become a thing until 1992, if I remember correctly.
