Replay 1982 Season

Hello, I'm new to his game but I have played other games in the past. I was
excited to see the use historical lineup and transaction options but they don't do what I expected. Is there no way to replay a historic season with the actual batting orders, starting pitchers, and trades like other inferior games can do? Is there a data base I can import? This is by far the best game I have ever played!

Real Lineups = actual lineups and starting pitchers doesn't it? However, rosters aren't 100%actual as the game requires all players to be active when using real lineups. Did something change this version? Or were you talking about a method of play in which the game makes all the in game moves according to real life as well?

There are quite a few sources of information on historical baseball lineups and statistics. Baseball Reference has a treasure trove of information including lineups. Most of the statics can be downloaded as a .CSV file, which can then be imported into an Excel spreadsheet. But you need to copy and paste to get the lineups from this source.

Rotosheet.org does contain starting lineup files that you can download directly. There are individual files for each year. The downloaded file is in .zip format which extracts into a .txt file. This file is equivalent to a .CSV file so it can easily be imported into an Excel spreadsheet.

I hope this helps.

I research each players game log and if he misses 10 or more days I put him on the injured list. You have to play in commissioner mode to do this.
