Walkers news: May 18 -- Detroit at St. Louis, ppd. by rain

Record: 21-18, 2nd, 2.5 GB Kansas City
The game between Detroit and St. Louis was postponed by rain.
It has been rescheduled as part of a July 29 doubleheader in Detroit.
So much for keeping a balanced schedule, I guess the Walkers will play 83 road games and 81 at home.

Walkers news: May 27 -- St. Louis 4, Green Bay 0 -- Hendricks with rain-shortened no-hitter

Record: 23-24, 4th, 4 GB Kansas City
Coming off an injury-plagued 2021 season, Kyle Hendricks has ranked among the best pitchers in the Midwest Baseball League in 2022 but he probably has never been better than he was in a 4-0 rain-shortened win over Green Bay at War Memorial Stadium.
Hendricks (8-2) tossed a no-hitter in a game that was called because of rain after five innings.
He allowed just one baserunner -- on a two-out walk to Ernesto Adames in the bottom of the fifth inning -- while striking out eight.
Offensively, the River Walkers were powered by the long ball getting solo homers from Bo Bichette off Long Haulers starting pitcher Kodi Mederios the first inning and Andrew Benintendi and Tyler Esplin in the fifth off reliever Jason Jester.
J.T. Realmuto had an RBI double off Medeiros in the fourth to make it 2-0.
