The Franchise Sim League (FSL) is an MLB league with a fantasy/inaugural draft to disperse talent and help level the playing field. The league began with OOTP 13 using the 2012 MLB Quickstart rosters for the draft. We will be switching to OOTP '14 when our currrent season wraps up, probably in August sometime. We started with 20 or so GMs from our long running MLB league that wanted another challenge.

You can also send me a PM if you have questions.

Just 2 openings remain, the A's and DBacks. Draft will begin in the next few days, get in now and build a team the way you've always envisioned from the ground up.

We're currently full, thanks to all those who inquired.

If you submitted an application recently and haven't heard back, your name will be added to the Waitlist. We're bound to have a drop-out or 2 during the draft so there's still a good chance you'll get to select most of your own team.

Cheers!

The Kansas City Royals are available. They currently sit .500 at the All Star break and own the 2nd best farm system in the league, including 2 of the Top 5 pitching prospects. They were built smartly with their market size in mind and don't hold any unmovable contracts. They have several nice veteran pieces that could be used as trade bait at the deadline if they're out of the race.

If you're interested, fill out the application onsite under the "Join the League" button and let me know a little bit about yourself.

As we wrap-up a very successful 1st season with the White Sox and Pirates meeting in the World Series, we'll have 2 open teams beginning this Offseason. (Next week)

The Royals are once again available. They finished the season in 3rd place in the AL Central with a record of 75-87. Their payroll is under control and most importantly they own the 2nd best system in the league, including Top 5 pitching specs Julio Teheran and Shelby Miller. This team could go 2 directions, a few tweaks/additions and they could be in the mix going forward. Or you could move some of the ML pieces for a rebuild and make this team a dominant World Series contender in a few seasons.

The Marlins are also available. They were contending for the division pennant for the 1st half of the season while they had a GM, then they fell apart with no-one steering the ship. They've got a strong lineup led by Troy Tulowitzki and Dustin Pedroia. Kimbrel has the 9th locked down and their staff is led by Santana and Oswalt. They need some work, but they have a solid foundation to build from.

I thought I should mention, we'll be making the switch to '14 after our next season. So just after the MLB All-Star break.

Quickly filled the Royals and Marlins with a couple GMs from another league of ours. Now the Brewers have opened up again. They finished the season 87-75 and missed a Wildcard by 1 game. They're led by Ryan Braun and Tim Hudson, with Top 20 prospects SP Dylan Bundy and CF Byron Buxton coming up the pipe.

The LA Dodgers have recently come open. The team made it to the NLCS last year before losing out to the eventual World Series champs from Pittsburgh. The team is led by it's offense, headlined by Albert Pujols and Jose Bautista. They're Ace is Daniel Hudson who's 9-1 on the season with a 1.81 ERA and a 0.94 WHIP. They're struggling this season but are only 6 games back of the division leading Padres and with a little attention could easily climb back into it.
