How did the Cubs do? How many championships did they win? How was the careers of Andre Dawson, Ryne Sandberg and Mark Grace?

The Cubs are 10403-10254. They have made the playoffs 22 times and have 4 championships. Their high for wins in a season is 108 in 1962. The most losses they've had in a year is 97. For those who still groan in 2003 the Cubs finished 3rd that year with an 84-78 record.

Dawson: He ended up being not nearly as good in real life. He was a career .255 player with 196 home runs and 683 rbis. Also being 232-112 in steals. He made the all star team once. He played for the Cardinals, Indians, and Mariners

Sandberg: Ended up like Dawson, solid but not as good. He had a .269 career average with 194 home runs and 923 RBIs. He played with the Phillies, Braves, Mariners, and Mets.

Grace: He is the only hall of famer of the bunch. He had a career .304 average while hitting 144 home runs and driving 906. His peak year was when he hit .339 with the Phillies hitting 12 home runs but driving 123 in. Another interesting fact is he still has a 1 game hit streak going on.

Other famous IRL Cubs

Fergie Jenkins: Fergie went 296-222 in his career with a 3.10 ERA and 3126 strikeouts, a six-time all star and hall of famer. He played for the Angels, Tigers and Yankees

Ron Santo
He had a career .271 average with 305 home runs 1092 RBIS. He was a 7-time all star. 1-time MVP and 5 time gold glove winner. Santo played his entire career with the Phillies

Ernie Banks
Ended up being a bust. He was a career .256 hitter with 288 home runs and 891 RBIs. He was a 5 time all star and 1 time gold glove winner. Banks curiously only played for the Yankees and Red Sox so he was pretty loyal to the rivalry.
Billy Williams
He ended up being a very strong hitter with a .291 career average with 449 HRs and 1444 RBIS. He was able to be a 7-time all star. He played for the Braves his entire career.

Sammy Sosa
Sammy didn't hit as many home runs in real life but he did hit 464 long balls and drove in 1227 while hitting .285 lifetime. He was a 1 time MVP and a 3-time all star. Sosa played for the Braves Mets, Marlins, Pirates, Dodgers, and Angels.

Greg Maddux
Greg still won over 300 games with a 340-254 lifetime record. He was a 6 time all star and a 2-time cy young winner. He played with the White Sox, Phillies, Pirates, and Cardinals

I'm curious to hear about Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, and Willie Mays. When I tried this, (I didn't make it all the way to 2012, but I might try it again at some point), Ruth ended up with the Cubbies. That was shaping up to be an interesting world.

Ruth ended up with 738 home runs. He was better than in RL in many categories hits (2954) and games played (2528). He played only for the A's and was a 2-time all star and 13 time MVP.

Gehrig was a lot better than in real life. He retired with over 3000 hits (3192) and 550+ homeruns (586). He played his entire career for the Reds and was a 6 time all star and 9 time MVP.

DiMaggio Joe ended up being slightly worse in real life. He was better in hits ( 2381) but had a lower batting average, home run total, and rbi total. He was a Dodger his whole career and was a 10-time all star and 2 time MVP.

Mantle
He was a lot stronger than in real life. He had over 2500 hits (2567) 550+ home runs (576) But had a lower average .291. He played for the Giants his whole career and was a 12 time all star and 4 time MVP.

Mays was a lot worse in real life. He had nearly 200 less home runs and 400 less hits. He drove in 100 RBIs twice and hit 35+ home runs twice. He was a Twin his whole career and was a 9-time all star and 1-time MVP.

Shoeless Joe ended being a star outfielder for the Indians. He hit .343 with 2569 hits and drove in 1014 runs and scored 1153 times. He peaked in 1911 when he hit .418 with 218 hits.

Nellie Fox was a much weaker player than in real life. He hit .279 and got 1865 hits. He played his entire career for the Cardinals and was a 2-time all star.

The Big Hurt started off well but had many injuries that caused his career to fizzle. He hit .289 and 2012 hits with 397 home runs and 1261 RBIs. He played his career with the A's Royals, and Pirates and was a 7-time all star and 2-time MVP.

Harold Baines ended up being slightly better than Thomas. He his a robust .301 with 2613 hits and 353 home runs. He played for the Mets, Dodgers, Yankees, Blue Jays, and O's he was a 4-time all star.

Roger Hornsby
He was very solid to the tune of a .337 average and 338 home runs. He also had 3592 hits and drove in 1706 runs. He was a career Pirate and was a 4-time MVP.

Stan Musial
Musial was a ton worse than in real life. While he hit .336 with 1580 hits and 154 home runs and 790 RBIs. He was injured in 1950 and suffered setbacks that ended his career. He played for the Yankees and was a 7 time all star and 2-time MVP.

Sandy Koufax
Koufax turned out to be a solid pitcher who had a career record of 237-155 with 3659. He played his entire career for the Cubbies and was a 6-time all star and 5 time Cy Young winner.

Pete Rose
He wasn't as good but not as goo still means over 3000 hits. He hit .285 for his career with 3311 hits and 1126 RBIs. He played for the Indians, Angels, and Twins he was a 7-time all star but never an MVP. He also never had 200 hits in a season.

I am only at the 1902 World Series for my 1871-2012 League. Did you play the World Series from the start or just from 1903? I have had it in place since 1871. The White Sox have won 7 WS. The Cubs 4. Giants 2. Phillies 3. I also have a draft so players don't go to their original team. My goal is to sim 5 seasons a week til I get updated to the 1980's.

What I did was I went to 1871 and had my manager set to receive no PMs and simmed to the present day without any intervention. Usually takes about a 24-hour period on my computer.

Some obscure player requests:

Frank Seminara (RL Padres, Mets)
Johnny (Pedro) Hernandez (RL Cardinals system)

Wasn't really paying attention until now. I will post these soon. But my computer has been out for repairs so it might be a couple of days. (Bad internet and failing hard drive)

I'm also simming from 1870's but have been the GM for the Indians. I make the offseason moves and let the manager do the work. I'm in the year 1939 right now. Led the Tribe to 12 championship. If only it was true in real life.

How many minor leagues do you/can you run with the historical sim? If you start with all the minor levels there isn't enough players to fill all the teams?
