1959 Replay

I've not played a historical game before. I am interested in playing the 1959 season. What mods should I download prior to play to make this game play a little more realistic and how do I set them up after download?

I'm interested in the historical face gens for this period, logos, hats, and jerseys. Not sure if this has already been put together by someone or not.

Also, if I'm switching back and forth between this replay and the current year's game will there be any changes required by me to ensure the right face gen and unis are being used or is this sensed automatically in the game?

Any help would be most appreciated.

You can use Add-Ons Central (from the start screen - lower left) to download and install ballpark photos. Add-Ons Central also has an All-In-One mod that, I think, will be updated in a few days. It will have historical Facegens, I do believe. Once you've done this, just import the 1959 season using the Historical Wizard. Choose Career Play or Single-Season Replay mode. Then, when the import process is complete, go to Game Settings and click on the Players & Facegen tab. Keep the Load PhotoFit (Facegen) files option selected. But de-select the Load Player Pics option.

NOTE: There is an All-In-One mod available through Add-Ons Central. It may include what you're looking for. But it is about to be updated, as I said.

i would use the attached ballpark graphics file since some of the Gambo ballparks found on OOTPmods.com isn;t what I prefer.
No Pepper's AL & NL uniform set
Questdog's antique skin
All in one for facegens/photos
Thats all I can think of for now.

Thanks, pstrickert. Before your response I did download your ballpark files and they add much more enjoyment to actually playing out the games. Thanks for your effort in adding that mod. As for the player pictures I wound up downloading and using the "Complete Historical and Modern Photo Face Pack" developed, it appears, in 2013. I like the fact that it had photos however some of the photos are appropriate to that era and others were taken later in the player's career generally with another team. So, it's less than ideal. I do see a "Historical Facegen Image Pack" but it was created in 2011. From what you said, it seems that a new version is on its way. I do like the photos. I just wish they were all from that era although I do know that's very difficult if not impossible to do for purposes of this game. Perhaps the new facegen pack will be worth a try.

By Historical Wizard are you referring to the "New Historical Game".

If you want photos specific to a season, do a search for Ceej's photo packs.

Thanks for the reply, The Game. As I stated above, I am using the ballpark files that pstrickert put up and they are good. I'm intrigued by Questdog's antique skin. I did see the samples he provided in a post and I may just use them. Tell me more about No Pepper's AL & NL uniform set. I'm not familiar with it. Where would I find those files? Are they specific to that era or to the year?
