managers

question
the real life managers are not appearing in the game when they should (as rookie managers)

would the reason be i don't have "expansion" checked because it seems this check box relates to a lot of various pieces of historical play- from team names, to ball parks
does it also include bringing in the right managers?

no that's not true
any season i start historically has the correct managers on the correct teams

if i start 1921, the 1921 managers will all be there
all the other coaches are fictional

my question was heading to the next season, how does the DB look for the new managers and import them into the available coaches section?
I was assuming they come from the check box on future expansion on- which tells the game to update all the aspects of teams and stadiums, so i figured it was this box that called up the new managers to teh game as well

Historical Managers are correct only once. The inaugural season. After that they are "fictional". The next year managers don't import other than by accident/coincidence.

Is that new on 13? Sorry I did forget to mention my league was created on 11 and converted over to 13...so used to 13..feels like I have been playing it for 3 yrs. On 11 they are not correct, on 13 they might be.

That's not true as well. I just started the 1971 season and only SOME of the managers are correct. Example: Nick Harris manager of Phillies when in real life it was Frank Luchessi. There are other teams that are wrong, also. Some are right. Mets have Gil Hodges as manager.
