World Pro Baseball - Fictional 70's Era League and Minors

Hey, everybody, so a couple of people on the retro thread were mentioning that they wished there was more 70's/80's era stuff on the board. Since I have a huge amount of that stuff, I figured I'd put it together into a more digestible form. With that in mind, may I present World Pro Baseball, a fictional 70's era league. I also am going to have at least one minor league level, centered on the great lakes/rust belt region. Some of the logos are going to be my own work, while some of them are modified versions of corporate, minor league football/basketball, or pro softball logos from the era. Hope you all enjoy!

Eastern Conference:
Boston Minutemen
Cleveland Spiders
Kentucky Bourbons
New Orleans Oilers
New York Empires
Ottawa Owls
Philadelphia Keystones
Pittsburgh Hardhats
Virginia Monarchs
Washington Solons

Western Conference:
California Wave
Chicago Stingers
Houston Gamblers
Kansas City Express
Memphis Groove
Mexico Calaveras
Minnesota Norsemen
Saint Louis Arches
San Diego Seals
San Francisco Gates

All of these first couple have been posted in various forms before, but I've improved and added alternate versions, so it's more usable the way people play now. Below are the Boston Minutemen:

Again, I put this up previously, but the uniforms have been vastly improved, attached are the New York Empires:

I like the large logo a lot. For the small one, a square or vertical image area is much better than horizontal image area. The wide logos get shrunk down really small on the league standings screen, etc. Maybe for this one get rid of the side waves and just go with the C.

Thank you! Not exactly my first attempt, but I'm always a little more nervous about the ones I do totally from scratch then the ones I base off an existing logo.

Great idea! I've updated the small logo to be just the capital C, thanks for the input.

Next up, the Houston Gamblers. The primary logo is from the old USFL, uniforms are my design:

Next up, the Philadelphia Keystones - other then some (very minor) changes, this logo is from SFGiants58, who posts regularly on the Sports Logos.net forums, so credit to him and his excellent work!

The logo here is from a real pro softball team in the 70's, the Pittsburgh Hardhats. Might have gone a bit crazy with the "construction worker" alt here, but hey, that's the fun of this era.

The Chicago Stingers are next up, the logo is from the old WHA Cincinnati Stingers. Had a lot of fun creating the "bee" style striping on these.

Rad concept. Thanks for sharing it. Totally hear for it, might even start a separate league just to do this.

Thanks! What I normally do is set up kind of an ABA situation, where I have my league as a rebel league in the 70's alongside MLB, then have it eventually collapse and get incorporated into MLB (I'm working on modern era logos and uniforms for a lot of these teams, actually, going forward).

This one is another modified pro softball team, and this one I keep pretty simple and classy, it's the Minnesota Norsemen. Not a lot of craziness going on here, so let me know if y'all want some more alts or different cap options, I'm open to suggestions.

Ok, so this one is based on just some random sugar skull clipart that I found... couple quick changes and we've got the Calaveras (Skulls) de Mexico:

These are fantastic. And speaking as the person who created Jersey Maker & Cap Maker, I am amazed at what you've been able to make it do!

Thank you! That means a lot, your tools have really made OOTP a lot more fun for me, so I really appreciate that. The option to load layers is something that I've started utilizing a lot more lately that really gives you pretty much limitless possibilities creatively.
