questions... questions.. questions

I have done some very basic playing around and this game looks really impressive. I created a replay league starting in 1994 and offered some contract extensions. That's as far as I have gone.

I have a question about this:

Databases include only basic stats? This would seem resasonable because inputting splits from the time they have been kept seems like an extemely laborious task that would be impossible to undertake,

Other questions in an unreleated area:

I would like to create a completely custom league with real players based off of some form of reality. This doesn't really seem possible. It seems you can create a league from the database using real players and a real setup that can't be editted or you can use a fictional league with fictional players or you an already created league.

Most, if not all, of the already created leagues start just before the season. It think I read somewhere in the forum that a league that has been advanced to the day before the season starts cannot have a draft. Is that corect?

Basically what I am looking to do is create a completely custom league with four divisions. I would like to have a free agent signing period or an inagural draft. I owuld like to be able so sign all front office peronnel, so I can set up "my league my way"

Does any of this make sense? Is any of this possible?

you can have a draft the day before the season starts.
The MLB quickstart starts the day before srping training and you can still set up a draft to happen before.

League set up can be done in almost any way imaginable, what are you looking to do? The 4 divisions can be edited to however you want it, the inagural draft just requires you to check that option under league setup. As for signing all league personal, you could ethier take control of all teams and assign coachs as you see fit, or you could just edit each coach to be on each team. Ethier way it would be alot of work but is doable. You can edit any setup anytime with real or fake players, some ways just take a little more work then others

Absolutely is possible. After you create a real league, go to league setup, edit league structure. Here you can delete teams, rename teams, move teams to different divisions, etc etc etc. There is almost no end to the customization that can be done in OOTP.

Thank you

Thank you both. I am well on my way to getting the ball rolling. I found what I was looking for in the settings. I thought I had read somewhere before I posted that you couldn't do this with Cub Fan's universe becasue the start date was just before the season. Probably misunderstood something or didn't follow the thread all the way.

Thanks again!
