Challenge mode bonuses for previously received achievements?

I'm not sure if I understand this correctly, but if I do, the system is set to occasionally give out free Perfect Team packs in conjunction with completing new Challenge Mode achievements. (I'm also not sure if this is happening yet, or if it will be added later/after the beta ends.)

In future years, when PT and the game as a whole launch at the same time, this probably won't be an issue. This year, though, a lot of players have already finished many of the Challenge Mode achievements. Will those achievements be converted into the packs that they would have yielded if PT had launched at that time? (Alternately, am I totally misunderstanding the details of how the system works?) Thanks!

No, Challenge Mode achievements will not count retroactively.

Ah -- disappointing. Just to confirm, though, does the system only count new achievements, or also repeat achievements?
