Winston-Salem Polar Twins

Enjoy these bears and their subtle cigarette advertising.

Buffalo Norsemen

Another one-season-and-done entry. Inspired the pre-game brawl bit from Slapshot.

Plain but effective!

Erie Blades, late 1970s

This team seemed to change colors according to their affiliation, or maybe just on a whim.

Kalamazoo Wings, 1970s

The early look for this long-running team.

Springfield Indians, 1974-76

The low-budget look for Springfield's AHL club after Eddie Shore re-took the reins.

EDIT: Actually, this was the 1974-75 jersey, after they switched from Kings back to Indians. 1975-76 is posted later on.

Long Island Ducks, late 1960s

One of their more generic looks, but still classic.

Florida Breakers (WHA "phantom" team)

In the mid-70s, Miami tried to get a WHA team to move to Florida. They almost had the original version of the Minnesota Fighting Saints, and tried to get the San Diego Mariners, but to no avail. Their logo was found in a YouTube video, uniform concepts are my own.

Maybe i'm just missing it but is there a easy way to use the last years of the WHA instead of the Start? Would like to take over Indianapolis Racers in their last year of existence. Is that even possible without alot of work? Never have done historical in FHM.

Not sure how you would do it, other than maybe just simming until you get there. If you don't mind waiting a few months, I could just get to that point and save it as another quickstart, but I'm just now getting ready to start 1975-76 and take forever on account of facegen-making.

Hey. On the off chance that everything goes smoothly with my graphics in the future, could you look into making the Wheeling Thunderbirds or the Cleveland Lumberjacks?

Okay, looked up both of those, and will try to get to them in the next few days. Wheeling should be no problem. With Cleveland, I'll have to do the early Penguins-style one. The later one, with the beaver logo, is a bit beyond my quick-n'-dirty capabilities, so you might have to ask Rayzor or somebody for that one.

I think you just add it to your quickstarts folder, but I made it for FHM6, so I'm not sure if that would still work. Anybody know?

Cleveland Lumberjacks, early 1990s

Confession time: I just slapped the logo over HockeyPlaya13's Penguins jersey of the same era for the home jersey, since that weird triangle shoulder yoke is a bit much for me to recreate:

Wheeling Thunderbirds

Quick n' dirty as advertised, but it'll (hopefully) do.

Richmond Wildcats

Another less-than-one-full-season (1976-77) obscurity. There were a ton of those in the 1970s, it seems. Colors are my best guess, based on what Wikipedia says their colors were, and the few available pics floating around, all black and white.

Toledo Goaldiggers

One of the better 1970s minor league looks, IMO.
