Will the price come down?

I haven't purchased the full version of OOTP for a couple of years (I had iOOTP last year) but suddenly decided today that I felt like getting back into it!

However, it seems a little expensive to pay $39.99 for a game that's 5-6 months old. Is it normally reduced in the offseason? I'm not keen to pay full price now if I can wait until November and pay much less.

I've never seen such an ill choice of words as declaring a video game "extortionate"... bad form indeed.

I think there's usually a World Series sale (I plan on getting the game while it's in effect) from the day the World Series starts to the day that would be Game 7 (regardless of whether there actually is a Game 7.)

It seems extremely cheap on your part to think because the game has been out for 6 months the price should be dropped. I'm sure if you look around you'll find something just as good for a much lower price.

While I agree that the idea that something is six months old in should be cheaper in kind of messed up... well, it actually IS on sale right now.

By the way, I wasn't saying it SHOULD be cheaper because it's old, but most sports games do come down in price when they're out of date - i.e during the offseason. In that context paying full price is too expensive if it's about to be reduced in the coming weeks. It paid off for me to ask

I asked the same question, and got the same response. Yes the game is great and a lot of fun, but why would I pay $40 for something when I know that it is going to be $20 in two weeks, it just makes sense to wait.
