Question How can I create just one game to play Human vs. AI of a particular season?

I want to play my father an exhibition game, 2 teams from the 1930s. Human vs. AI. I have tried to figure out how to do this and nothing works out right.

How can I set it up that my father can manage the game actions of the 1934 Cardinals vs. a computer-controlled (AI) 1934 Cubs team? I am not finding a way to pick two specific teams to play a head-to-head one game exhibition, nor am I figuring out how to set up the game for one player to be human and the other to be AI/computer. Any help would be much appreciated.

OOTP looks like a great game system, but wow, does it seem complicated? (PS. I've looked in the manuals and watched the beginner videos.)

Did you create a 1934 historical league? If not do so. After that it takes a few clicks.

Use your fathers name when you create the league and start in Commissioner mode.

Go to the play dropdown, at the bottom it says play exhibition game. The dialogue box should be self explanatory.

Start the game and on the opening screen put your father in control, replacing Frisch.

Thanks, and one more question -- how to open a league already created

Thanks for your help. So, there is no quick way just to play a historical game. You must first create a league.

OK, I did create a 1934 league and I played one game. Thanks for your help with that. Now I have rebooted and I can't figure out how to get to the league I created to play another game. Do you know what buttons I need to push to be able to play more games in the (1934) league I created?

Thanks!
