Could do that in a big tourney, but you'd spend far, far more of your day watching clocks count down. Turnover is king when you're a dedicated experiment junky. That doesn't help them balance out the decks/PP pouring into their universe, tho. We can/do play 3,5,7 formats, too. Or teams up to 128, if the wait time is less than 3 days. But 127:1 [or worse] odds just aren't that attactive, if your team is incomplete or imperfect. And a lot of these tournament teams have big issues, short rosters, 2nd rate players in some lineup spots, etc. Long odds and long wait times are for the Open heroes. |

I'm sure whales aren't signing up for Zack Wheeler 90, which is just barely above a quicksell. If you want to wait, the dailies (20k for 1st) are the ones whales wait for. However, even the Wheeler 128 would fill up, IF IT STARTED ON TIME. Use 1st round byes, or ghost teams (player teams that have played similar events in the past). If the ghost team wins the player whose ghost team was used, gets a nice, unexpected surprise.

They would at least *work*, which stuff currently decidedly does not. I have had the Accountants in two 128-team tournaments for a full WEEK. They still haven't started and have no hope of triggering next time, either. I'm keeping them in there, because it's a morbid sort of fun to see how much these big tournaments are absolutely not working.

Im pretty sure running them short is technically impossible. The ones that arent running simply need to be killed. I dont know why they have so many huge open tournaments where there is no interest at all and a massive shortage of scheduled tournaments in the formats people actually play.

Yeah, you'd think with all the iron players in packs this would be incredibly popular. I want to try an iron tourney, but there just not being offered enough. Only one weekly tournament on Saturday.
