2 Questions for online commish

1) The first upload for league reports is obviously huge. You're posting pages, photos etc for the first time.

I'm curious though, if I was to upload an update... will it only update pages that changed or will it just upload everything all over again? IE if Pedro Martinez's stats didn't change at all, will I have to upload his page again (just overwriting) or will it only upload if something changes for Pedro since last upload

2) With OOTP12 I know a lot of leagues had to have owners download the league file, extract it then download a settings file and extract that separate.

Is that still the case with OOTP13 or is everything in the league file now?

I advise NEVER to include images along with the reports. You are asking for trouble. I've seen archive files get to sizes of about 400MB and this causes all kinds of problems. Do your images separately and learn how to FTP upload and update your images out-of-game and you'll save yourself plenty of headaches.

To the other part of your question, yes. It regenerates new pages for everything, players and teams and everything. The reports pages always include the in-game date, so they need to get updated in the uploaded reports as well.

No changes in the new version.

thanks for the reply... just a follow up

1) Images: I did do the FTP myself to get them posted, thanks

2) Little fuzzy on your replies... so are you saying that with each update, it will overwrite a player page even if that player page had no changes, correct?

3) "No changes in the new version." So I just need to have them download the league file, and then extract the settings file (one time process)... then from that point on all they will need is to download the league file from in-game.

Every page that you include in the reports upload always reflects the current date. The game automatically generates a new page for every page, every in-game day, thus they get uploaded and overwrite the old ones. So if a player sat on the bench for 6 days and you sim six days, his new player page still gets uploaded. Who knows, he might catch a cold during that time and it might show up on his player info.

Yes. You need to get the "accountsdata_gms.dat" to all of your new members but only one time. They just need to place that in the "settings" folder. If they don't have that folder, they can create it. They'll be able to do everything in-game after that.
