I welcome you to fill out an application, as you will see by the form, this league will be very detailed and extensive.

A Little Fictional History of How the ABL Was Formed:

Following the 2008 Major League Baseball season; a season which saw the upstart Tampa Bay Rays make a run that no one would forget; a series of events took place that would forever change America’s pastime. In November of 2008, the steroid accusations took a whole new twist. A former BALCO employee, and now protected government informant, uncovered one of the largest scandals in American History. Simply known as “Max”, the informant was arrested in a 2007 steroid sting that opened large investigations into, not just baseball, but all major professional sports. Following his arrest, “Max” was given an opportunity to be granted leniency by the federal government in accordance to aid Congress in further steroid and other performing enhancing drug investigations. Right before Thanksgiving in 2008, “Max” dropped his ultimate bombshell. “Performing enhancing drugs go much deeper into a few players,” Max stated. “I have audio and video evidence that implicates all 30 Major League Baseball franchises in a conspiracy beyond imagine.” That conspiracy was the foreign selling of American-made performing enhancing drugs to nations across the world. The profits, said to be in the billions, was then used to privately fund all 30 Major League Franchises. This news was earth-shattering. In December, following a federal indictment to all 30 owners, Yankees headman Hank Steinbrenner blamed the fumbling US Economy for leading the franchises to find “alternative” ways to keep their franchises afloat. Hank also blamed then President Elect Barack Obama’s plan for capital gain taxes as a reason behind finding private funding for the franchises.
Needless to say, following the arrest of over 2,000 people; Major League Baseball as we knew it would no longer be. The 2009 season was a wash; it was a long, dark, gloomy summer without America’s pastime. Then in late October, long-time baseball follower Mark Cuban and world-wide billionaire Warren Buffet decided America needed baseball and decided to draw plans for a new league; The American Baseball League was first born. Cuban and Buffet would then set out to find 16 cities willing to house new franchises. With the help of Congress, Buffet and the government decided to award each city pledging a new franchise over $16 billion a city in a premium government economic stimulus loan. And this is where we first got our charter members into the new American Baseball League. Those pilot teams include: (will be completed once we have our 16 teams signed up)

Sign up folks. Great opportunity to start a team and a league your way. We are currently discussing rules on the message boards and it looks like the few who have joined and posted so far are going to be good owners.
