Standard game crashing

Cannot get past Nov 9, 2020. Keeps shutting down. Anyone else have this issue.

It looks like this is the problem with a nonplayable teams in the European Champions League having players stuck on Vacation. Did you start the current season before updating to version 5.4.44 (or 5.4.42)? It should've been fixed in the update, I just want to make sure it's not still happening, since this is a different league than we've previously seen with the problem.

Regardless, you can fix the save manually editing the players to remove the status:

-turn commissioner mode on in manager options
-switch league to Tipsport Extraliga (Czech), then team to HC Kometa Brno; you'll see a lot of their players with the yellow VAC status tag
-open one of those players, then go to the edit screen
-click on "Retired", then hit save; that'll temporarily retire the player which clears the status, but also removes the team data. Without exiting the screen, unclick Retired, then change the Current Team and Contracted team to Czech Republic-Tipsport Extraliga-HC Kometa Brno, then save again. He'll now be back to normal and on their roster (don't exit without returning him to the team, that'll leave them short of players and will probably still result in the crash)
-Do that until the team has at least 2 goalies and 20 skaters without the tag (I think you may be able to get away with just fixing their forwards, but it's probably best to do them all, otherwise if they have injuries this could happen again.)

The game should continue normally without crashing once they have enough players to dress a full lineup.

only had the game about a week. Pretty sure it hasn't been updated since I started.

trace notepad keeps popping up now when exiting after i have fixed it

If you turn debug mode off (Settings-Troubleshooting) and delete the exiting fhm_trace.txt file from the \debug folder, that should stop it.
