In the rules of the National League 5 foreigners are defined. But only 4 are allowed in the roster screen. Looks like a bug.

The currently correct one for the National League, however, is:
- 8 foreigners in the squad
- 4 may be used

The game currently does not support separate lineup/roster rules unfortunately, so the 5 foreigners is an attempt to compromise

I guess you mean a bug? I don't know if I can cathegorize it as a bug or not. Ideally, the game should be able to discriminate this kind of rules if they regard dressed players or players in the roster, these rules would be needed in most of European leagues, but unfortunately the game is not able to do it at the moment. I think that having 5 foreigners in roster is now the best compromise between the IRL rules and the current game-engine limitations. Hopefully the devs will be able to address this problem.

This bug has not yet been corrected. Is it on the pending list?

It's not a bug - the roster size setting will always be overridden by the lineup setting, and the number of foreign players that can be dressed is set to 4 (but isn't displayed on the rules screen, we should change that.) I can change the Swiss setting to allow 5 foreign players to be dressed if that will work better, but if the values are separate the lineup restriction will always be used for the roster as well.

Fits with 4, but I can have 5 foreigners in the squad, but only 4 dressed up? Correct would be 7 in the squad but only 4 dressed up.

Sorry for my first replies, I wasn't aware that we had a separate roster and lineup rule.
And yes, both limits should be displayed.
