The higher your resolution, the more information that is shown. I use 1440 x 900.

You can change the skin by going to Game, Preferences, Current Skin and use OOTP 13 dark.

Thanks you SO much for these videos, Cody. As a relative newbie they're greatly appreciated, if nothing else just to see how someone else navigates.

in your first video you said something about the pitchers under the age of 25 should never throw more than 100 innings... did u mean to say 100 pitches because i got kind of confused right there... so i just wanna make sure about that.. also I have a 22 yr old rookie starting pitcher.. should i set his pitch count limit lower than 100.. like maybe around 70? Its Randall Delgado of the Braves and he has a 14 stamina

Haha. I realized my mistake after listenining to it again and meant to make a note. I meant 100 pitches per game for players under 25. Usually 90 pitches will be fine as it should leave him under than 100 pitch count.

EDIT: Didn't see this was answered already.

The black background is one of the other skins included with the game. Much easier on the eyes when you mostly play later at night.

He also is using the full screen mode instead of window. In order to get everything to show up, besides just changing to full screen you also need to play with the resolution.

It's all in the options on the intro screen. You can get there in another place, but that's the easiest place to find it.

Full screen and change the resolution. You can actually get 9 boxes to show up on that screen.

I agree!! With the complexity of this game, it may scare many potential players away (like my nephews, who I since have brought back into the fold), these videos are a GREAT way to visually teach new and old players the nuances and even basic game play options for the game.

IMO these videos should be part of a collection hosted on the main OOTP 13 pages for prospective customers to readily view.

Keep up the great work Cody!!

Just bought the game a couple weeks ago. This was very valuable. Still learning the ins and outs of the game. Are you in the process of doing more??
If so, I would love a tutorial on topics related to more technical, out of game stuff like how to use third party apps, changing parks, uniforms, logos and the various options on setting up leauges.

One question on the pitching comment. If I decide to set my pitchers who are young to 90 pitches per game, the manager does auto. pull them no matter what, even if hes pitching a 1 hit or no hit shut out after 90 pitches???

Great Stuff. Thanks!

I know in the real world that pitch count is important but do we really know if Markus coded it that way?

Thx,
jonpfl

Whoops, I guess I better do that for my stud prospects in the minors!

So, if you overwork your young prospects, there is a better chance to shorten their career in the bigs? I assume once they hit 25 or 26 it is ok to pitch them over 100+ pitches per game, right?

Thx,
jonpfl

Actually I suggested that Markus automatically use minor league pitchers under 100 pitches and he did that. After 25 the injury effect for pitching over 100 pitches is much less.
