Lineup Starter also List as Backup
Hi all,
Title pretty much states the question. Example: My starting 2nd baseman also happens to be my best 3rd basemen. I also have a competent 2nd base backup. I'd like to list my current starting 2nd basemen as the utility backup for my 3rd basemen if he ever gets hurt. Is there anyway of doing this? It would be a lot like Ben Zobrist with the Cubs or Kris Bryant where their starting positions would be 2B and 3B respectively, but also be depth backups in LF. Thank you! |

You used to be able to list a starter as a backup at a different position, and I agree you should be able to. Not sure when or why that changed. Is that something that can be fixed in the new version?

Absolutely true.
I have both OOTP 16 and 17. Please take a look at this image: Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet As you can see, both P.Waigand (SS, 2B) and E.Lucas (1B, DH) have starting positions and backup positions. I for one would love to have this option restored. Especially during ST when I have players I'd like to try in multiple positions. |

If you uncheck "Auto-Sync lineups and depth charts" you can manually drag starters to be backups at other positions.
If you ask the manager/bench coach to setup depth charts he will not do so. |

Correct. It is indeed true. I'm glad to know how to do this now.

I dont think you can place a starter in the defensive sub area though. But he can be added to utility 1 and or 2

defensive sub
I actually got it to set up in one 18 league, but, not the other. I know, doesn't make sense.
Could not get it to work at all in 19. Here is the league that executed the request. No idea why it wouldn't work in the other league. Auto sync cannot be checked for it to work.
