WHY are Red Sox players whining ?
MLB found that the Red Sox were using spotters in center field watching the catcher signals and then communicating with Apple Watches in a September series against the Yankees .
Chris Sale says he feels the players should be "paid back" . Because the Astros beat him in the playoffs . The Yankees complained last year about the banging occurring well Astros were batting -- Dodgers questioned it .... If CHEATING is bad enough to bar Pete Rose from the game and records -- If the Black Sox's and Shoeless Joe can be banned -- then why not Astros .. I think I know ---- there is MORE money in the game today. Astos should be punished game for game that a player played --- play 135 games suspended for 135 games ...... played 40 games suspended for 40 games .... This punish goes to Red Sox players also *** if they were found to have CHEATED .

How about let them play but start the counts at 0 - 1.

Funny hearing this from "play the right way" Ian Kinsler.

It's not that difficult to see why. These cheating incidents are one-sided favoring hitters. Chris Sale can complain since he's a pitcher and advantages to hitters hurt his stats.

I fear that this is more true than any of us realize.
Back in the day of Kenesaw Mountain Landis, banning players was not the multi-million dollar catastrophe as it would be today, on all sides (players, owners, MLB). To ban all these players would destroy teams for years and damage fan interest and loyalty which would cost MLB millions more. You will not even see players suspended because they would have to be punished in groups and that alone would cost Baseball money. The days of Landis are long gone and, as we see legalized betting become more intertwined with this sport and others, the impetus for cheating will grow. It makes me a bit queasy to think about it.

Well, it did take the White Sox approximately 30 years or thereabouts to recover from when Judge Landis banned the Black Sox.
