2 days, 2 no-hitters

This one included 7 walks, but came in the sub-league championship series. ...which is going on right now.

Nice! Are you saying you had a no-hitter in two straight games?! Or "just" that you had two no-hitters recently (still a cool accomplishment!)?

I personally had 2 no hitters recently in a 3 day span for the same team. Only 3k pp for it though (1500 a pop)

Towards the end of the season Koufax pitched one, & then in the playoffs I managed to do something that I don't think has ever happened; pitched a no-hitter in a losing effort...I believe there's been 2 no-hitters thrown in the playoffs (Larsen's perfect game & Halladay for the Phillies in 2010 Divisional Series)...both times the teams won the series. Gooden pitched a no-hitter in game 2 to tie the series 1-1 but we lost all 4 of the other games...they were all very close, 3 or less runs and we lost the series 4-1.

2 days, 2 no-hitters was a reference to actual days.

I also had a shared no-hitter in a loss. My starting pitcher Ubaldo gave up 6 walks and 2 runs, then my relievers continued the no-hitter. We lost 2-1.

How special are those "special notes" when there are so many of them?

Oh, I was referring to the series.

Gooden WON game 2, allowing 7 walks & no hits.

But we lost the league championship series itself, 4-1.

Accomplishment of the Day

A couple winning streaks but mainly...

I won a game 5-4 in which I surrendered 21 hits. That was a good one.

Now... the last one to mention as the sims for today wind down & I prepare for sleep is that Felipe Vazquez was the winning & losing pitcher in the same game today. Felipe Vazquez, New York Flyers got the win.

I remember...

Remember my first walk-off walk game in PT &

I remember in 1999 the city of Atlanta pressuring Bobby Valentine to issue a couple intentional walks before pressuring Kenny Rogers into issuing a walk-off walk, and the Mets finally letting the NL Championship slip to the Braves.

That team put up a pretty good fight. They had been on the verge of tying the series 3-3. We're talking those loaded Braves pitching staffs and purdy good lineup, too.
