Suggestion - Game Saves

I just wanted to make a suggestion that maybe there should be an option to allow OOTP to keep an archive of a certain # of saves.

the game cam save daily, weekly, monthly, etc, well why don't you give users the option to save X amount of previous game saves, it could be a check box option to enable archived game saves and then a number entry to decide how many previous saves to archive.

Sort of like my digital video recorder at home, it has an option to record shows, but then I also have an option for it to keep X number of saved episodes.

This would help those that run into crashes by allowing them to go back to their archived crashed game.

Couldn't you do this yourself by using "save as" and keeping a folder with that league's saves?

Yes, but in a world where people like automation it seems like this would be a way of appeasing those that have crashes. At least they have the ability to try and prevent it. Plus if the game is doing the auto-saves while you are simming out years of history most people don't want to be tied to their computer to have to do special saves on their own.

Gotcha... good point. Sort of like you start a 1901 sim and it starts logging save spots just for that league as it progresses. Good idea.

Wasn't thier a program last year the would zip the game folder as often as you liked. Don't know if it would work/be a good idea to do while the game was running though.
