We are planning to convert to OOTP 20 next off season. The Chicago Cubs, who are loaded, became open when the previous owner agreed to take on the rebuilding project that is Miami. We just had our opening sim for the season on Monday.

Chicago Cubs (Last season - 87-75)

Minor League System Rank: 26th

Financial Status:

Budget - $226 Million
Payroll - $130 million
Overall Health - VERY strong with a great market

Top 100 Prospects:
2B A. Romero - #43 overall
SS N. Smith - #89 overall

Chicago is poised to make a run in a very tough division. They have 3B Joey Gallo, who is one of the best 3B in the league. Gallo has been a 5-6 WAR player. They also have a stud 1B in Pavin Smith who is also young and loaded. This team can be a powerhouse.

Chicago filled quickly but I am clearing out a few inactive owners as we are planning to convert to OOTP 20 next off season. The Texas Rangers, who are loaded, became open when the previous owner agreed to take on the rebuilding project that is Miami. We just had our opening sim for the season on Monday.

Texas Rangers (currently 5-6)

Minor League System Rank: 20th

Financial Status:

Budget - $200 Million
Payroll - $132 million
Overall Health - VERY strong with a great market

Top 100 Prospects:
2B J. Patterson - #25 overall
CF D. Lile - #70 overall
P C. Rudd - #81 overall

Texas has some very solid pieces in a wide open division. Jose Leclerc is a FA signing who is panning out to be a solid SP. Kris Bryant and Kyle Schwarber round out a very potent offense.

Texas filled quickly but the next opening has popped up as we are planning to convert to OOTP 20 after the current season. The Arizona Diamondbacks just became open and they had some significant pieces a season ago.

Arizona Diamondbacks (currently 9-14)

Minor League System Rank: 17th

Financial Status:

Budget - $176 Million
Payroll - $141 million
Overall Health - Cap spenders

Top 100 Prospects:
SP P. McWhorter - #30 overall
CF J. Bergman - #36 overall
SS C. Dunn - #80 overall

Arizona is loaded with offense. This will be very useful if the new owner tries a modified retooling. The top 3 contracts are all under 28 years old (Nomar Mazara, Andrew Benintendi, and Carlos Correa. After that the starting rotation has 2 4 star arms in Walker Buehler and 22 year old phenom Ethan Hankins. Overall, this team has assets to be a real player.
