Pitcher rating

Hi all..I'm sorta new and I still have questions, some basic, some a bit more complicated. For this one; how important are pitcher rankings? Does it affect any of the stats; stuff, movement control etc. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi, welcome. My response to your post is two-fold:

1. If you're new to Out of the Park Baseball, and you never played the original/base game before you started playing Perfect Team, you might want to check out the "New to the Game" forum where other new players might have had the same questions you have. However, if you have more questions about Perfect Team itself, we can probably answer them for you.

2. I'm afraid I don't quite understand this question. What do you mean by "pitcher rankings"? Do you mean Overall Rating, and/or card tier (Perfect, Diamond, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Iron)? Do you mean the fielding rating at the pitcher position? Do you mean the starter's slot in the rotation, or the reliever's role? Let us know what "pitcher ranking" you mean and we'll give you an answer.

OK. No, the pitcher fielding rating doesn't directly affect pitching outcomes. It only affects how well your pitcher fields his position, just like your center fielder's CF rating affects how well he fields his position, not his batting. It will only affect your team's run prevention by whatever small amount your pitcher's defense improves your team's ability to turn balls-in-play into outs.
