Season 6 (2024) Discussion: 1/7/19-1/13/19
Season 6 is beginning so here we go again.
My teams this season Winterfell Direwolves are in Gold .312. This will be my 4th year in the Gold league with this team. So far they have been 75-87, 72-90 and 81-81 in three previous gold seasons. I made some minor changes so I believe a realistic expectation is to shoot for a winning record this time. Macon County Cardinals are in Gold .349. This is their second season in gold. They finished 78-84 last season. No changes for this team between seasons. I have not seen a lot of variety in the auction house for Cardinal based upgrades and the ones that are there are beyond my means at the moment. Last season the game decided that my #4 hitter should hit .217 for the entire season. There is no way that someone with 66 contact, 71 gap, 74 HR Power, 59 disc and 48 avoid k's should hit that low again against gold pitchers. Best of luck everyone. We'll be about 15 games into the season before I can check on my teams after work. Edit: Sorry Markus, I must have been typing this as you posted your thread with the same title. Feel free to merge them. I have no problem letting you handle the creation of this thread every week. Last edited by Maddox; 01-07-2019 at 08:20 AM. |

I got demoted from Gold to Silver (.318) with my San Diego Ambassadors.... hopefully I can make the jump back up! My Stade Black Sox are still in Bronze. Why do I suck at playing my own games...?

After getting run out of the silver league playoffs last season, The Kennesaw Mountains went into a complete overhaul and re-branding in preparation for the gold level.
Who's Out: Frank Tanana, Elmer Riddle, Zack Wheeler, AJ Minter, Bob Boone, Cecil Cooper, Bobby Bonilla, and Al Simmons. Who's In: Al Rosen, Herb Score, George Uhle, Jose Mesa, Lou Boudreau, Kenny Lofton, and Michael Brantley. We are now the Kennesaw Indians, an all Indians theme team, competing in Gold327. |

Raccoons got dumped back to the Gold level, but at least into a division that I consider wide open. I know three of the four other teams from previous campaigns, and at least one of them looks like it hasn't been looked after in weeks.
I feel good! Also, Yoenis Cespedes homered on Opening Day, but the Raccoons lost, 3-2, to the team that looks like it hasn't been looked after in weeks.

I'm not looking forward to being in Perfect again with probably 80%+ of the teams being the same. 6 titles in my division alone. And my conference has most of last season's playoff field. Oh well, I do have two teams in my division that knocked me out of past playoffs, so my goal I guess is to at least try to take them down.

My computer was broken for the last week and a half, so I couldn't check on my team.. Luckily, the Wizards went just fine without me, going 86-76 last year to earn a wild card, and 81-81 the year before that. Both in gold league. So I had tons of perfect team points and bought myself an Albert Pujols! And got a Tom Glavine out of a pack.
It appears the citizens of Waterdeep have taken an interest in the Wizards, finally. We're averaging about 30,000 a game. Although, they still don't seem to know when to cheer properly. Just yesterday, they booed two of our own sacrifice flies... Come on, guys. My team is starting to get the hang of life in Waterdeep. Javier Baez is learning the basics of magic, and Lonnie Smith has been putting in work for the local Thieves' Guild. (He's been stealing bases.) I do apologize to all the visiting players for having to teleport them to such a strange dimension, and I PROMISE that our games are always played in an antimagic field. No shenanigans here. (Please ignore Ozzie Smith's 9 WAR per season.) Good luck everyone, and goooooo Wizards!

I believe my Diamond team got bumped back to Gold this season after a rough couple of seasons. My Bronze team should of been promoted to Silver. Will check on their status when I get home.

Its little boring to stay in Diamond league with many of the same teams of the last season when your team had a .429 season...all playoff team stayed in the diamond level?

No. But I was in a division with them before, and back then they also had loads of gold cards and a single platinum. I feel like that was them. I am not a 100%, but I am comfortably sure.
